Experience : Constituted a modernized Lead Acid Battery Manufacturing Facilities in the year 2002 and established the brand ORION. Automotive and Tubular Batteries are manufactured and marketed in the Brand Name. Leading the Institution as a Captain since 2002
Recognitions : Awarded Best Entrepreneur of Kozhikode District (Twice) in the Year 2006-07 and 2010-11 and State Pollution Control Board Award for the Institution for the year 2012.Govt of Kerala has appointed MrBabu MP, as the Chairman of Institute Management Committee of ITI Areacode and M/S Orion Battery is the Industry Partner of ITI.MrBabuMP is also the Executive Member ( Govt Nominee) of the Governing Body of LBS Centre for Science & Technology , Trivandrum.He has also been awarded Business Excellence Award 2019 in the category of Excellency in Energy Storage Solutions instituted by Media One TV, on 7/11/2019.

MoU exists between AarupadaiVeedu Institute of Technology(AVIT) Chennai and Orion Battery to train and make Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students employable in various Companies by way of industry internship, industrial training, consultation, project work etc., while Orion employees will be trained in various field like, power quality improvement, basic electrical safety power management, and soft skill development and to Focus on Research & Development of the Establishment to have innovative technical methods in the production field and all this with an aim to achieve the CUSTOMERS DELIGHT by providing quality assured products with 24x7On line customer care service( Toll Free No18002700550).

Team Work

Orion regards itself as a group of people working towards a common goal. The idea is to evolve and manage harmonious teams at every level of operation to achieve better levels of job satisfaction, efficiency and standard of life for everyone involved. Naturally, employees’ welfare has always been a focus area. To cater for the requirement of food & drinks for breakfast, Lunch & Evening tea , a house near the vicinity of the factory site has been rented wherein food items are prepared and served to the workers free of cost. All staff from top to bottom are dining members with more stress on the health factor by providing variety of balanced food to avoid monotony in diet as per planned weekly menu . Periodical free medical check up of all workers are conducted regularly and records maintained for follow up treatment if any, as advised by doctors. A recreation club, an in house magazine called SPARSH, annual day celebration called SPANDAN, training classes, personality development sessions, medical checkup sessions, cultural and leisure activities along with regular training initiatives on skill development and up-gradation are also carried out. Leaders’ meetings are held weekly while general body meetings are held monthly. The best performer of a particular month is hailed as the Star of the Month and cash awards are given to the selected employee at the general body meeting.
