 The Orion battery enterprise is captained by Sri. M. P. Babu, one of the few trained and certified people at the helm of battery manufacturing business in the country. He joined Central Electro Chemical Research Institute, New Delhi and gained professional expertise in battery manufacturing. With technical Know-how and license for manufacturing, he conceived and planned for a production unit that later became Orion. |

| He has a composite experience of 20 years in lead acid battery manufacturing. A keen follower of the emerging trends and breakthroughs in the industry, Sri. Babu is regarded as an expert in the field. He won the best entrepreneur award for the year 2006-07, instituted by the department of industries and commerce, Government of Kerala. He was the only participant from Kerala at the 13th Asian Battery Conference, Macau, China in 2009. He was also the lone invitee from Kerala for the 12th European Battery Conference held at Turkey in 2010. Sri. Babu’s quest for better power storage solutions continues with the help of his teammates at Orion. |
